Meet our first Golden Paw senior: Kodiak Bear
Kodiak Bear was rescued from a horrific hoarding situation in Shelby County, Alabama, where he was found with approximately 180 other pets. At 10 years old and only 18 pounds, Kodiak was shut down in the shelter and received little interest from adopters.
Enter the Golden Paws Initiative and adopters Ron and Kim, who were hand selected to be the first Golden Paws family. Thanks to funds from the Grey Muzzle Organization, Kodi was pulled from the shelter. He is currently on a trial adoption in hopes he has found his forever home. His adoption fee and pre-adoption medical costs are covered, and he will received annual core vaccines for the rest of his life at no cost to his new family.
